Let’s Play Dress-Up with Matilda Jane – Louisville Children’s Photographer

Matilda Jane Clothing sent a oh-so-cute outfit from their new collection Paint By Numbers.  One thing that I love love love about getting goodies in the mail – the packaging!  I know, I’m a complete nerd, but I can’t help it.  The way a company wraps and cares for their items even before you put it on says a lot in my opinion.

Matilda Jane sent me the following items (seen below) Limelight Peasant Top, Pointillism Big Ruffles, and for head gear we have the Nancy in Chocolate – all in size 4.

The shirt’s color is a soft yellow and the pattern is a super sweet – hot air balloons, air ships, butterflies, and the wording here and there “Explore your world with Matilda Jane.”  The pants are a funky purple polka dot – almost a plum color.  Very comfy feeling – but we’ll let our little model show us how cute and comfy it really is.

One thing that I noticed right off the bat was the comfy comfy feel of the clothes.  This is so important to my girls AND clients.  I always suggest to clients that when dressing your kiddos for a session – please for the love of Pete make sure the clothes are not itchy, stuffy, or stiff.  Nothing ends a shoot faster than an annoying tag, scratchy pants, etc etc.  Matilda Jane wear – well if it would fit I’d nap test it!  🙂

My model for the day was the adorable Miss Rachel.  I wish you could see her freckled nose better – I really think it made the outfit!

The size four outfit was very true to size, seriously easy to get on (big plus in mommy land), and the fabrics were comfy and easy to move around in.  Again, this whole outfit is from the Matilda Jane new collection PAINT BY NUMBERS…you can see the entire collection by click here.   The entire collection was so very cute.  A very color appropriate collection for the upcoming Fall season.  Plus, if you have two girls like mine (not pictured) – neither are very wild about the idea of wearing ruffles and bows.  This collection offers a mix-match option which can take the ruffle pants completely out of the mix.  Great!  And little mommas don’t forget that the collection also includes outfits for us!  Check out one of my faves here.  I believe Matilda Jane had the oh so fabulous photographer Shannon Sewell photograph the collection – smart Matilda.

So cute and thanks to Matilda Jane for letting me play dress-up in their super cute outfit.
